On November 22, the Science Based Targets initiative validated that the greenhouse gas emissions reductions targets submitted by NNIT A/S conform with the SBTi Criteria and Recommendations.

NNIT has entered into a contract with ATP (Udbetaling Danmark) for the delivery of their critical SAP Debtor system. After a thorough tender process in the early days of summer, NNIT was chosen based on the best combination of quality and price.

From Junior Developer to Business Development Consultant ✨

Sara Skov is a young and ambitious employee at NNIT who has not been afraid to voice her ambitions, and it has paid off. "I have said that I would like to drive the OutSystems community a bit more," she explains. The Science Based Targets has validated that the greenhouse gas emissions reductions targets submitted by NNIT conform with the #SBTi criteria and recommendations 🙌

“By setting greenhouse gas emissions reductions targets in line with SBTi recommendations, we are proving our commitment to building a sustainable world and aligning with a NetZero future. We have extracted a lot of learning from the submission and validation process and aspire to keep contributing to a more sustainable future in any way we can,” says Senior Vice President Lars B. Petersen who heads up NNIT’s sustainability activities.

Our scope 1 and 2 targets are in line with a 1.5°C trajectory: 

💚 Reduce absolute scope 1 GHG emissions 90% by 2029 from a 2023 base year. 
💚 Reduce absolute scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year.
💚 Reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and upstream transportation and distribution 47% within the same timeframe.

Lex's career at NNIT began in November 2015 when he was hired in the Philippines. Initially brought on for a three-month project, he found himself in Denmark by February 2016, extending his stay due to our company's needs. By January 2017, Lex had officially transitioned to our local office in Denmark.  

His role involved working on a critical project with major pharmaceutical companies, focusing on the track and trace of drugs to ensure their authenticity. The transition from the Philippines to Denmark was challenging, but Lex embraced the change, learning to adapt to new work styles and environments. "You need to be intentional about upskilling because our space is constantly changing," he says.  

Lex's story is one of continuous learning and self-discovery. "It's about finding joy in what you do and sticking to your values," Lex explains.  

He strives to empower others, making new team members feel welcome and valued. "If you find joy in what you do, it goes beyond the hours you put in," he says. He explains that his own formula for success involves effort and continuous learning. "It's about maximizing your output and reaping the rewards later."
