ATP awards NNIT new six-year contract for the operation, support, maintenance, and development of maternity/paternity benefits system
In August 2022, NNIT will commence work on a new six-year ATP contract, with the possibility of an extension for two periods of 24 months. The contract has a net worth of a lower triple-digit DKK million amount.
The agreement concerns the operation, support, maintenance, and development of Udbetaling Danmark’s maternity/paternity benefits system, developed, and implemented by NNIT under the existing contract with ATP. Udbetaling Danmark is part of the ATP Group.
Digital self-service benefits system for processing and payment
In the current contract period, NNIT has worked to develop, implement, operate, and support the current maternity/paternity benefits solution, in close collaboration with ATP.
The solution is based on Microsoft technology, and NNIT will continue to provide infrastructure, application, support, and maintenance services, ensuring high quality and stability of operations as required of a critical public sector IT system.
Under the new contract, NNIT will also be continuously developing the system to improve efficiency, comply with new legislation, and enhance overall customer experience.
NNIT has a dedicated team of approx. 30 FTEs working to ensure this critical service to the Danish public.
Pär Fors, CEO, NNIT comments:
“We are extremely pleased to have been awarded this contract, which further cements NNIT as an important supplier of critical IT systems to the Danish public sector. Playing a part in upholding and developing case-handling systems is meaningful, and I know our employees feel privileged and proud to help ensure things run smoothly and that welfare payouts are correct and timely for their fellow citizens. We’re excited to start work on the new developments, making it even easier for ATP and citizens to use the system, ultimately further enhancing customer experience”.
Executive Vice President Carsten Bodal, Udbetaling Danmark, ATP, comments:
“During the last years, ATP and NNIT have had a great collaboration, which we are excited to continue. Udbetaling Danmark handle complex administrative tasks for city councils and state authorities, and it is essential for us that citizens receive correct payments and find it simple to interact with us. That is why we demand high standards for quality, security and stability of operations from our suppliers. It helps ensure effective administration, which will ultimately result in more funds for welfare.
